My Approach
As a psychotherapist with a background in physical therapy, my approach to healing is one that bears witness to the inseparability of the mind, body and lived experience within the world around us. I come to this work grounded in a strong relational foundation, blended with embodied practices and a deep curiosity about how people come to become who they are - and who they are continually becoming.
There is value in an embodied life: the ability to tap into our innate intelligence, our inherent goodness, and our capacity to endure challenges. In therapy, we get to bring our full selves into the room. It is a space where client are invited to explore all of their edges and curves, to understand themselves at a deeper level, to support their empowerment and autonomy of choice.
Together, we sit with discomfort, uncertainty, and the uncontrollable. We feel through what is present, and we discover what is sensed and meaningful.
Rooted in existential and phenomenological traditions, my work is centered on a deep respect for the search for meaning, connection, and transformation in the midst of suffering and change. I invite a curious, compassionate exploration of how each person experiences the world; how their array of identities shape the way they relate, receive and give, both with others and with themselves.
We all create patterns from what we were taught, what we figured out in moments of difficulty, and what has helped us get to the point where we are at. Therapy becomes a collaborative space where we can be present with these patterns, gain insight into the choices we make, and the values we hold that guide a more intentional and meaningful life.

Kate (she/her)
I am a pelvic floor physical therapist, psychotherapist, yoga teacher and pilates instructor.
I live in the space between physical therapy, psychology, yoga and pilates where each informs the other. I love movement, and became a physical therapist to teach movement and provide safe spaces for embodiment under the medical model. I became a psychotherapist because there is no separation between mind and body…there is just how we choose to be in the world.
